What We Catch

Redfish
The Red Drum, also known as the Redfish and other common names in different parts of the country, has a reddish
to copper color and even a silver color . They can have one to several spots on the tail and body and in a few cases none at all.
They feed on different fishes of the sea like other ocean dwellers , many times what is available.
Redfish can get up to 90 pounds but the average size is a few pounds to above twelve when fishing inshore.
Redfish are caught year round in Charleston  on artificial or live bait and is one of the most sought after fish .

Bonnethead Sharks
A shark fishing charter can be one of the most exciting light tackle trips for even the most seasoned anglers.
Children of all ages have a blast catching these "Rockets of the flats". Bonnetheads are very simple fish to catch,
I use blue crab pieces and light tackle fish on the bottom or sight cast to cruising sharks on the flats or in the creeks.

Trout
INSHORE and/or NEARSHORE over grass, sand, and sandy mud bottoms; move into slow
moving or still, deep waters in cold weather
. A year round fish to catch which is fine eating .

Flounder
Flounder fishing is excellent during the summer months, with good catches being made in a variety of ways.
Trolling for flounder seems to be an extremely popular method for taking these tasty flatfish but at the same time
many are caught with live bait that have grass banks on one or both sides with a sand or mud bottom. The flounder
seem to relate to the edges, either one or both sides of the inlet .

All of these fish are very fine eating . Although we do support releasing
any redfish after taking a picture of your catch for your memories .
We do this to support the redfish population which has made a comeback
from past years of over fishing and the pressure on this species .
